The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has issued an urgent warning, advising organisations to take immediate action to protect their websites and online services.
The vulnerabilities could potentially allow criminals to gain unauthorised access to affected systems, making this a significant issue for website owners and hosting providers worldwide.
We want to reassure our customers that we are aware of the vulnerabilities and have taken prompt action to help protect websites hosted on our servers.
We take the security of our customers’ websites and data seriously and are continuing to follow official security guidance and monitor developments. We will take any further action necessary as the situation evolves.
If your website is hosted with Cogio, there is no action you need to take in response to this particular alert at present.
We’ll continue to manage the hosting-related aspects of this issue and will contact customers directly if anything requires their attention.
No website or online service can ever be guaranteed to be completely free from security risks, but you can be assured that we’re taking this matter seriously.
