Summary:

This guide shows you how to set or update the price of a product in WooCommerce. Estimated time: 2–5 minutes.

Before you start

You’ll need:

  • To login to your WordPress website.
  • A user role that can edit products (typically Shop Manager or Administrator).
  • The product already created (or you can create it first).

Step-by-step Guides:

Navigate to the product you want to update:

  1. Go to “Products” → “All Products”.
  2. Find the product you want to update (use the search box if needed).
  3. Click on the name of the product.

Updating the price of Simple products:

  1. Scroll to the “Product data” panel and open the “General” tab.
  2. In “Regular price”, enter the new price (for example: 19.99).
  3. Click “Update” (top right) to save changes.

Updating the price of Variable products:

If your product has variations, the price is usually set per variation.

  1. Scroll to the “Product data” panel and open the “Variations” tab.
  2. Click on the variation you wish to update to drop down the variation’s details
  3. In “Regular price”, enter the new price (for example: 19.99).
  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 until you have set the price for each variation you wish to edit
  5. Below the list of variations, click “Save changes”
  6. Click “Update” (top right) to save changes.
